EWS- Roadmap for Aging Well
Monday May 15, 2023
Monday May 15, 2023
We were thrilled to have Kate Granigan back to lead our May 9th Empower Women event, Roadmap for Aging Well. Every day 10,000 baby boomers turn 65, and in 2030 there will be more grandparents than grandchildren. Often we have been a caregiver for an older loved one and recall the picture of aging as a series of loss-filled experiences and a downhill trajectory. However, we have learned about aging through science and research and how our choices, attitudes and engagement can impact our experiences. During this event, Kate talked about what we can do to improve the experience for our aging loved ones and how we can impact the outcome of our aging journey.
Kate Granigan, LICSW, C-ASWCM, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and has worked as a clinician in the field of aging for over 25 years. She founded her own Life Care Management company in 1999, which became part of a non-profit organization in 2009. She held the position of Vice President of Care Management until she assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of LifeCare Advocates in 2016. LifeCare Advocates is a team of nurses and social workers who provide assistance, advocacy and guidance to elders and their families.

Tuesday Feb 21, 2023
Thank you to Donna Marcantonio for leading our February 14th Empower Women Event, Looking Forward: Real Estate Trends in 2023. Donna discussed five emerging trends that we expect for 2023 and beyond. She talked about issues around low inventory and how that impacts housing affordability, how market fundamentals are “normalizing” as some markets weaken due to diminishing pandemic tailwinds, and the potential for a cyclical economic downturn. She also looked at how the pandemic forced structural shifts in how and where we live, work, and recreate in ways that seem destined to endure.
Donna Marcantonio, a real estate agent with The Petrowsky Jones Group, represents buyers and sellers from all walks of life and is equally experienced working with developers on ground-up construction and managing luxury rentals in the commercial real estate realm.
Fascinated by urban planning, she is perpetually curious about how urban plans contribute to the quality of life for members within the community. A creative visionary who thrives on finding innovative solutions, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more dynamic realtor. Ultimately, Donna knows that buying or selling a home is a transformative experience and she is renowned for being exceedingly thoughtful in her approach.
